Pulp mills boost prices $30/metric ton

Marubeni Pulp & Paper North America told customers it will increase northern bleached hardwood kraft (NBHK) pulp prices by $30/metric ton above the $305 price last month, reports RISI, the forest products subscription news service. Marubeni’s new list price on aspen grade NBHK, announced to customers yesterday, would rise to $835/metric ton in North America. Alberta-Pacific and AbitibiBowater earlier came out with their own $30 price increases for april deliveries of hardwood kraft pulp.
