Digi-Key inks deal

By Jim Carbone -- Purchasing, 2/7/2008 11:34:00 AM

Digi-Key has entered into a global distribution with Roving Networks and will carry the company’s line of wireless networking products.

Roving Networks, Inc. of Los Gatos, Calif., designs, manufactures and markets embedded modules, serial adapters, network access devices, and sensors, allowing access from Bluetooth enabled PCs, PDAs, cell phones, networks, and machine-to-machine communications.

Roving Networks’ products reduce wireless product development cycle times. Applications include wireless solutions for industrial automation, medical/hospital, point of sale, inventory, home control, M2M, and others.

Roving Networks products stocked by Digi-Key are featured in both its print and online catalogs and are available for purchase directly from Digi-Key.

“We are extremely pleased to partner with this innovative company,” said Mark Larson, Digi-Key president and COO. “Digi-Key’s customers will undoubtedly appreciate quality products that are designed to reduce their product development time, thus expediting time to market and ultimately saving them money.”

Digi-Key is based in Thief River Falls, Minn.
